BETCO Scaffolds traces its history to 1945, when Edward C. Gilbreath helped operate SAFWAY Scaffolds of Houston before purchasing the location and founding Builders Equipment & Tool Company, later known as BETCO Scaffolds. The business expanded from Houston into multiple Texas markets and now serves the state along with portions of Oklahoma and Louisiana. BETCO remains privately owned by the Gilbreath family across three generations. Its operations encompass scaffold and access-equipment rental, sales, design, engineering, field labor, logistics, shoring, safety training, fencing, and emergency response. No separate outside parent company is identified; BETCO is the family-controlled operating enterprise.
