Scaffold Exchange is free to use for contractors, builders and anyone who needs scaffolding. Browse the map and the marketplace without an account; sign in to send quote requests, keep a shortlist, list equipment and, if you run a scaffolding company, claim and manage your profile.
Each guide below says what the feature is for, the steps to use it and where to go. Where we have recorded a walkthrough, the video sits next to the guide. If you get stuck or need something the site does not cover yet, the contact form and the phone line at the end of the page reach a person.
Getting started
4 guidesScaffold Exchange is free to browse. An account unlocks quote requests, a vendor shortlist, listings and your company profile.
Create an account or sign in
Sign up with an email and password. Contractors, builders and scaffolding companies all use the same account; what you can do grows as you claim a business.
- Choose Sign in from the header, then switch to Create account
- Confirm your email from the message we send, then sign in
- Forgot your password? Use the reset link on the sign-in form
Your account at a glance
The account overview shows counts of your quote requests, saved vendors, listings, equipment requests, businesses and job posts, with a shortcut into each.
- Open My Account from the avatar menu in the header
- Use the tab bar to move between Quotes, Saved Vendors, Equipment Wanted, Listings, Businesses and Jobs
- Click your avatar in the account masthead to add a profile picture
Search the site
The header search finds vendors, equipment listings and articles in one box. Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) from any page to open it.
- Type a company name, city, equipment type or topic
- Pick a result to open it
Ask the AI assistant
The Ask a question button in the corner of every page opens an assistant that knows the directory and can point you to suppliers, guides and the right part of the site.
- Ask in plain language, for example "who rents system scaffold near Houston?"
- It links you to real supplier profiles and pages; it never asks for personal details
- Sponsored suppliers are always labelled as such in its answers
Finding suppliers
4 guidesEvery scaffolding company in the directory is on the map and in the state and city pages. Filter by what they rent, sell or erect.
Use the vendor map
The map shows every listed supplier. Zoom to your job site, or filter by equipment type, service, industry, manufacturer or qualification to narrow the pins.
- Search a city or address to jump the map there
- Open the filter panel to pick equipment, services, industries and more
- Click a pin for the supplier card, then open the full profile or request a quote
- Add several suppliers to your quote cart and send one request to all of them
Browse suppliers by state and city
Prefer a list? The Scaffolding Rental pages group suppliers by state, then by city, so you can compare everyone serving an area.

- Each card shows services, equipment and a link to the profile
Read a supplier profile
A profile lists what the company rents, sells and erects, the industries it serves, its service area, contact details, Google rating and any verified badge.
- Verified means the owner has claimed and confirmed the listing
- Sponsored and Featured labels mark paid placement; the rest of the ranking is organic
- Use Request a quote on the profile to message the supplier through the site
Save vendors to a shortlist
Star any supplier on the map or on a profile and it lands in Saved Vendors, so you can compare and reach out when you are ready.
- Tap the star on a supplier card or profile to save it
- Open Saved Vendors in your account to review the list with contact details
- Tap the star again to remove a vendor
Getting quotes
3 guidesEvery quote request you send is logged under one RFQ number, whether you sent it from a profile, the map or your account.
Request a quote from a supplier
Use Request a quote on a profile, or add several suppliers from the map or directory and send one request to all of them at once.
- Describe the project, equipment, location and timeline once
- Every supplier on the request gets the same message and your contact details
- You get a confirmation email with the RFQ number to quote back to them
Track your quote requests
The Quotes tab lists every RFQ you have sent, with one letter per vendor (RFQ-10021-A, -B, -C) so replies are easy to match up.
- Sent requests carry a blue outgoing arrow; requests customers send to your business carry an orange incoming arrow
- Close an RFQ once it is settled; the Open / Closed switch keeps the list tidy
- Suppliers reply by email, so watch the address on your account
Post an Equipment Wanted request
Looking for specific frames, planks or a system? Post what you need and suppliers with matching stock reach out to you.
- Describe the equipment, quantity, location and timeline
- Requests go live after a quick review by our team
- Mark a request fulfilled once you have found what you need, or reactivate it later
Buying and selling equipment
3 guidesThe marketplace is where the industry buys and sells used scaffolding. Listings are free; sponsoring one moves it to the top.
Browse the marketplace
Filter listings by equipment type, condition, location and price. Each listing shows photos, the seller and how to contact them.
- Use the filters to narrow by category, condition and state
- Open a listing to see every photo, the lot details and the seller
- Contact the seller directly from the listing; the site does not take payment
Post a listing
List scaffolding you no longer need. Add photos, a price or "contact for pricing", condition and pickup location, and buyers contact you directly.
- Create the listing from My Account → Listings
- Upload clear photos; large files are resized automatically
- Listings show as pending until our team approves them, usually within a business day
Sponsor a listing
A sponsored listing sits at the top of marketplace results and is labelled Sponsored. Sponsorship is paid through Stripe from your listings page.
- Open My Account → Listings and choose Sponsor on a live listing
- Checkout runs through Stripe; the boost starts as soon as payment clears
For scaffolding companies
5 guidesClaim your listing to get a verified badge, edit your profile, receive quote requests and post jobs.
Claim your business
If your company is already on the map, claim it to take control of how it appears. Our team verifies the claim, then you can edit everything.
- Open My Account → Businesses and search for your company
- Submit the claim; we may email or call to confirm you represent the business
- Once approved, a Verified badge appears on your profile
Request a new location
Not on the map yet? Request a listing and our team adds it, then links it to your account so you can claim and edit it.
- Fill in the business name, address, website and your contact details
- Track the request under Requested locations on My Businesses
- You get an email when the listing is live
Edit your company profile
Approved owners can update the description, services, equipment, industries, service area, photos, logo, team contacts and Google reviews link.
- Open the business from My Account → Businesses and choose Edit
- The account contact at the top of the contact card is built from your listing phone and email
- Turn on Request quotes for a contact so customers can reach that person
Answer quote requests from customers
Requests customers send to your business appear in your Quotes tab, marked Received, with the requester’s details and a reply button.
- Mark each request Bid or Not bid so your team knows who is on it
- Reply by email straight from the card
- Close the request when it is done; reopen it any time
Promote your business
Premiere and Featured tiers put your profile ahead of organic results and add a badge. Billing runs through Stripe and you can cancel online.
- Compare tiers on the Promote page
- Upgrade from My Account → Businesses; you need a verified, claimed business
- Manage or cancel the subscription from the billing section of your account
Scaffold Jobs
3 guidesA job board for the trade: full-time roles, yard work, contracts and short-term crew requests, with quick apply from a phone.
Find a job or a crew
Browse open roles and crew requests, filter by state and type, and apply in under a minute with your name and mobile number.
- Crew requests are grouped at the top; everything else is in the list
- Quick apply asks for a name and mobile; certifications and a note are optional
- The hirer gets your application right away and contacts you directly
Post a job
Post under one of your verified businesses or under any company name. Every post shows pay, so enter a range or a note like "crew rate, quote required".
- Pick the post type: full-time, part-time, contract or crew request
- Tap the certifications and scaffold systems that matter and mark the must-haves
- Use AI Assist to draft the description from your facts and any PDF you attach
Manage posts and applications
See every application the moment it arrives, with a number you can call or text. Mark a post filled when the spot is taken and reopen it later.
- Open My Account → Jobs to see posts and applicant counts
- Edit a post any time; changes show on the board immediately
- Filled posts come off the board but stay in your account

Trade shows, training days and association meetings can be listed on the events calendar. Send us the details and we add it.
- Use the contact form with the Submit an event preset

Change your profile picture
Click the avatar in the My Account masthead to upload a photo. It is cropped to a square and shown in the header menu.
- JPG, PNG or WebP; the image is resized for you
- Remove it from the same menu to go back to your initials
Privacy and terms
What we collect, how supplier contact details are used, and the terms that cover listings, quotes and job posts.
- Read the privacy policy for data handling and your rights
- The terms cover marketplace conduct and paid placements
- To close your account or remove your data, contact us and we will handle it
