Frequently asked questions
Common questions about buying and selling used scaffolding equipment here.
The marketplace carries used and surplus scaffolding equipment listed by companies across the country: frames, shoring, planks and decking, system scaffold components, stair towers, casters and hardware, plus occasional full fleets. Listings show condition, quantity, location and photos, and inquiries go through Scaffold Exchange, which forwards them to the seller. Filters narrow the feed by equipment type, condition and keyword.
No. Scaffold Exchange is a marketplace, not a dealer. Every listing belongs to the scaffolding company or contractor that posted it, and the sale, payment, inspection and freight are arranged between buyer and seller. Our team reviews submissions before they publish so the feed stays scaffolding-specific, but we do not hold inventory, set prices or take a commission on self-service sales.
Open the listing and use the Inquire button to send your question about that item. Inquiries go to Scaffold Exchange with the listing attached and we forward them to the seller, so you can ask about quantity, condition, age and pickup location before committing. When a listing is linked to a claimed directory profile, you can also open that company page and contact the supplier directly.
A wanted request is a public post from a buyer describing equipment they are looking for, rather than equipment for sale. Requests appear alongside listings in the feed and can be filtered on their own tab, so sellers holding matching stock can respond. Posting one takes a free account and helps when nothing currently listed matches the sizes, quantities or timing you need.
Every submission is checked by our team before it publishes, which keeps the marketplace scaffolding-only and free of spam. Most listings go live within one business day. Review covers the basics: the equipment is scaffolding related, the description and photos match, and contact details work. Approved listings stay up until the seller marks them sold or removes them.
