Parent companyPepper Ladder Co IncCity Ladder Co. is a division of Pepper Ladder Co., Inc., a fifth-generation family-owned and operated business based in Paterson, New Jersey. Frank Pepper established the company in 1907 as a manufacturer and wholesale supplier of wooden ladders, cabinetry, and scaffolding. The operation later moved from Grand Street to its current Getty Avenue location as the business expanded. During the 1960s, second-generation leader Stanley Pepper adjusted the company’s operations as aluminum ladders became widely adopted. City Ladder subsequently developed into a distributor of ladders, scaffolding, fall-protection equipment, truck accessories, and jobsite storage while retaining its longstanding connection to the Paterson community.
