Fan Netting

Fan netting, often referred to as perimeter safety fans or catch fans, is a specialized fall protection and debris containment system used primarily on high-rise construction projects. Unlike standard vertical netting that wraps around a scaffold, fan netting consists of high-tenacity mesh attached to a rigid, cantilevered frame that extends horizontally outward from the building or scaffold. The name "fan" comes from the way the systems are often designed to fold upward when not in use or during high winds, resembling a folding fan.
