About
Tates Rents - Meridian provides equipment rental solutions in Meridian, Idaho. Founded in 1946 as Safway Scaffolding Company by Paul Tate in Boise, the company has served Idaho for over 75 years through three generations of family ownership before transitioning to employee ownership in 2020. The company originally started with scaffolding and a makeshift delivery truck, then expanded in the 1950s to include ladders, liquefied gas, tools, and other equipment lines. In 1962, the first branch store opened, and the company rebranded as Tates Rents in the early 1980s. Today, as an employee-owned company, Tates Rents continues to serve the region with a focus on providing rental equipment for any project while maintaining its commitment to community involvement and customer service.
